30 Days of Thankfulness

Day 15: 30 Days of Thankfuless

Today, I am so thankful for all of the different ways that I receive God’s Word. One of my favorite ways to receive these words is from other blogs. I love to read weekly godly inspiration or hear ways that God touched a certain blogger that day. I have a few blogs that have really touched my heart over and over with their words, and today I would like to share the blog that I am thankful for not just today, but everyday they click ‘post’. I am so thankful that God has placed it in their hearts to blog and inspire others to live a life devoted to serving God.

So, in no particular order, here are some of my most favorite Christian blogs that I follow along with a link so that you too can be inspired! 🙂

The Full Time Girl is a blog by Lauren DeMoss. This is one of the very first Christian blogs that I followed and I have found so much help in her many blog posts.

Blog Blurb:

Through her writing, she [Lauren] desires to point people to Jesus, and encourage and inspire her generation and the next to be courageously and fully abandoned to their Savior. It is really all about Him.”

The Journey of My Heart is a blog by Adalee Burke. I don’t exactly remember how I stumbled upon her blog but the way that she writes in such a truthful, open, honest way about God has really inspired me.

Blog Blurb:

“I feel that these young adult years are the most complicated and confusing time in life.  I am in the process of discovering what it looks like to glorify God in all my actions and conversations.  I am also seeking to learn who I am, what is my purpose, and what being a godly woman looks like in today’s age.  I hope that my posts help you in your journey as much as they’ve helped me in mine!!”

This blog run by sisters, Bethany and Kristen, has been such a mold for me. Anytime, literally, any time I have ever struggled with a  question about what it means to be a godly girl, I have come here and found wisdom found straight from the Bible. And, if you love their blog, I totally recommend their book as well!

Blog Blurb:

“Since launching GirlDefined Ministries in 2014, our goal has always been the same – to help modern girls understand and live out God’s timeless truth for womanhood. In a day and age when girls and women receive so many conflicting messages about their value, purpose, and identity, they desperately need to know that the only one who can define them is the One who created them.”

I have been following Anna and her blogging for about a year now. We’ve become really great friends and I have even guest posted on her blog. (We have plans to do that again soon, so stay tuned!) Anna is such a godly girl and has great posts about what it means to be a Christian girl. From blog posts about her trip to Africa to recipes and posts about saving kissing for marriage, Anna’s blog overflows with wisdom.

Blog Blurb:

“I remember leaning back and thinking, “How can I impact girls on a heart-to-heart level—all around the country—in an way that doesn’t require an Internet profile, my parents’ time, or a driver’s license?” The answer came so quickly it surprised me. Start a devotional over email. From that very first moment, what later became known as Morning Glory has been my passion.”

I haven’t been following this blog for a long time, but I can tell you that in the time that I have, I have been inspired by every word. She is a very witty person (just check out her ‘Meet Me’ page) and yet at the same time she is so truthful and glows with her love for Christ!

Blog Blurb:

“In whom do you find your identity? I hope and pray that it’s Christ. He wants you to find your identity in Him no matter what you’ve done, who you are, and where you came from. His sacrifice covers all that. Be filled! Find hope! I can tell you, it’s all worth it. So pick up the phone.  Answer His call. Find your identity in the only One who will satisfy you.”

I love Aly’s blog. Not only does she share about her faith, but she shares her own stories that she has written. I love “Mrs. Johnson’s Sunday Teatime”, and if you love old-fashioned, Little House reminiscent stories, you will too! Her posts range anywhere from recipes, to stories, life adventures, to godly wisdom.

Blog Blurb:

“My goal in this blog is to reach out to people (primarily girls, like myself) in a way that gives glory to God. This is NOT, by any means, a professional business-like blog. Far from it, my friends. In fact, this is my own ramblings; this is me hoping and praying that someone somewhere is enjoying my writing. I love sharing my thoughts, and this is just the place to do it… so here I am.”

So there you have it. Some of the blogs that I am personally thankful for… but it doesn’t stop there. This post was growing rather long and I still have more blogs that I am thankful for! So, I decided that tomorrow will be a Part 2 of blogs that I am thankful for.

I totally recommend that you check out these blogs. Each and every one is so unique and special and offers their own little sparkle, yet they all point to one thing, the most important thing- God, our Savior, and what it means to be a Christian.

So check them out, and come back tomorrow to read my continued list. I know that you will love them just as much as I do! 🙂
