Hello, everyone! Today I want to share a post with you that is NOT mine… it’s from Girl Defined. If you don’t know Girl Defined ministries, please check them out! They are amazing, so inspiring, and really encourage you to follow God’s path for you. They recently wrote a book, which I reviewed a little while back ago here.
For now though, I want to tell you about their newest challenge. Girl Defined has challenged us to pray everyday for at least ten minutes. They want us to see how God will change our lives just by praying.
Here’s the challenge:
The 7 Day GirlDefined Prayer Challenge.
I’m inviting each one of you to join me on a 7 day prayer challenge. From today until next Friday (July 1st), I’m challenging you to spend at least 10 minutes a day in prayer. I want you to take specific time out of your day to make prayer a priority.
And just in case you aren’t sure what to pray or how to pray, Girl Defined has you covered on that too!
A basic outline for how to pray.
Begin with praise. Praise God for who He is and for His incredible love and mercy. Use Scripture to guide you as you praise Him for His many attributes.
Take time to confess your sin to the Lord. Ask the Lord to forgive you for sinning against Him.
Spend time in the Word and meditate on God’s Word. His Word is truth and will align your thoughts with His.
This is your opportunity to bring your hearts desires before the Lord. Ask Him to provide for your needs and the needs of others.
End with a time of thanksgiving. Thank God for all the wonderful things He has done in your life. Thank Him for any answered prayers and thank Him for salvation.
I highly suggest that you check out Bethany’s post for yourself here. Browse around their blog too while you’re there, it is so helpful!
Be sure to say ‘hi!’ for me when you do!
So, who is going to join me and GirlDefined on their 7 Day Prayer Challenge? If you’re with me, comment below, or head on over to GirlDefined and give your support there!
Before I go, let’s end with a prayer!
Please guide us this week as many of us undergo this challenge. May you open our hearts and minds to your presence so that we may grow in You. Guide us as we do learn ore about You and Your love.
